![]() The Light Beyond project is dedicated to my mother Lyn Storrs (Evelyn Avery Jones), 1941-1969.
How I wish I could remember her even a little. I do hope she's proud of me. My mother died so long ago now, it seems, that most people will have forgotten her. I wonder what she would have thought of modern times and this new-fangled thing called the Internet? Anyway, I wanted to remind the world that she existed and that she mattered to lots of people. I even thought that in some way she might enjoy a little outing in the 21st century. Who knows?

![]() Dear Lucie
Seeing your post about your Mum and people forgetting her does bring home the truth of what you say , so many people whose lives are at an end will be forgotten. With sites such as you have dedicated yourself to creating these lovely people will now never be forgotten. Seeing your thread we now have seen your Mother. She looks like the compasionate and caring one all of us here are striving to keep in peoples memory, long after they have gone. Our family was very small and when we Mum and Dad go to meet our dear Cheryl only Alistair will be left. So as long as folks can see the name and a small picture of these ones we hold so dear maybe they will reflect and see a loving family trying to keep their special friend in peoples memory. There is no more we can do. Your Mum would have been proud of you and we know so much of what she was is what you have become. Well done from us all. Disilain |

![]() Dear Disilain,
Thank you so much for your kind and caring reply... it means a lot to me and I hope that you are finding some comfort, no matter how small, here on the forum. I came across a site recently which may offer both of you a little hope and encouragement; it is called www.oursonbilly.com. Read Our story and then Update to our story; it may offer some hope that you will not always feel this way - of course without forgetting your lovely daughter Cheryl, as if you ever would, but that in time grief becomes easier to cope with. Thinking of you both and sending warm thoughts your way, Lucie

Memory can only tell us what we were, in the company of those we loved; it cannot help us find what each of us, alone, must now become. Yet no person is really alone; those who live no more echo still within our thoughts and words, and what they did has become woven into what we are. I wish you peace and a level path on your journey... Cal821 |
